Solar is Ours for Women

We run a training program specifically for women particularly those that come from a underprivileged background.

The GeNNex Solar Project works in partnership with existing social enterprises or charities on the ground within the country, it fuses both technical and entrepreneurship education around solar energy into a single program.

 

Phase One – Setting Up

GeNNex travels to the local partner organisation where a needs map is conducted.

 

Phase Two - Implementation

GeNNex trains participating women in basic electronics, soldering and knowledge around the history of solar and solar technology. They will also gain experience in assembling, maintaining and installing GeNNex product.

 

Phase Three – Business Model

Within this phase women are taught essential Business, Sales and marketing skills they are also equipped with additional tools to help the participants effectively sell.

 

Phase Four – Training the Trainers, Project Replication 

All initial trainees of the programme will be present in all areas of the programme for the purpose of training of the next set of participants. The ultimate aim of the program is to replicate the model through several groups and empower more women through training and development.
